In this Advent season, this is where you will find details of all that is happening at the church in the weeks leading to Christmas. Many people have been making different types of angels to display in the worship area and our coffee shop, The Hub, and knitted angels were given to children who visited our stall at the Beacon Hill Christmas Fair on Sunday November 28th.
Our theme this year is based on Angels and particularly the hymn ‘Angels from the realms of Glory’. Each week we will start worship with a verse from the hymn, a reading and after lighting the candles for the week, a prayer.
Advent candle lighting booklet
This is a compilation of hymns, prayers, poems, scripture and commentary on angels in the Christmas story. It is divided into 5 sections – one for each Sunday of Advent and another for Christmas Day – which includes an Advent Candle lighting liturgy and some resources to reflect about Advent at home.
