The Hub

The Hub is a community cafe situated in Beacon Hill URC. It is open normally on a Wednesday from 9am. – 12 noon, and  is run by volunteers. We have an Art Gallery displaying Local Artists’ work, Free WIFI, Craft items for sale and the Hub is also available for private functions. Our volunteers are from our congregation, members of the other churches in the village and the local community.

Changes to the days we are open

The Hub is now open every Wednesday from 9 – 12 noon & on the first Monday of the month from 10 – 12 noon. As there are Bank Holidays in May, The Hub will not open on any Monday in May.

On a Wednesday morning, you are welcome to bring any craft work you are working on and sit and chat with others over a coffee.

The Community Book Collection

We have a Book Collection in The Hub available to the local community. It is a free service whereby local residents are invited to browse the books, sit and read over a coffee or borrow a book to read from home, returning it when finished so another one can be borrowed. We also may receive donations of books to add to our collection or share with Nursery and URChin children to read. This is open whenever The Hub is open – Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
