The Hub

The Hub is open on a Monday and Wednesday morning from 9 – 12 midday. During May there are several Bank Holidays when The Hub will be closed – Monday May 1st, 8th and 29th. If you want to find a warm space, drop in, have a hot drink, access the free WiFi or use the computer. The books, DVD’s and puzzles in the Community Book Corner are available to borrow or to enjoy while you are in The Hub.

On a Wednesday morning, you are welcome to bring any craft work you are working on and sit and chat with others over a coffee.

The Hub is a community cafe situated in Beacon Hill URC. It is open normally Monday and Wednesday 9a.m. – 12 noon, and  is run by volunteers. We have an Art Gallery displaying Local Artists’ work, Free WIFI, Craft items for sale and the Hub is also available for private functions. Our volunteers are from our congregation, members of the other churches in the village and the local community.

The Community Book Collection

We are now advertising the Book Collection in The Hub to the local community. It is a free service whereby local residents are invited to browse the books, sit and read over a coffee or borrow a book to read from home, returning it when finished so another one can be borrowed. We also may receive donations of books to add to our collection or share with Nursery and URChin children to read. This is open whenever The Hub is open – Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
